FRC are very proud to announce their collaboration with an ADC team entry into Season 4 of the prestigious Virtual Le Mans Series (VLMS-ERL) championship. This is an international team championship organized by the creators of the ILMS mod running full length endurance races. As you know, this is something i've been wanting to get involved with for some time so a massive thank you to Tracy Nolte (Mogwai) for driving things forward (pun intended!) and pulling a team together. We have a strong lineup and are hoping for some good results as the season progresses. The first race takes place on the 20th August with 8hrs of Monza.

FRC will be carrying regular updates and you can also keep upto date at the ADC thread : ADC VLMS-Thread

Team Name/number; Average Drivers Club #050
Class; GT – BMW M3 GTR
Team Members
Rob Bakker (NL);
Rob is the Dutch driver of the team. He is a car mechanic that enjoys sim racing in many different sims and classes. His favourite cars are the classics. But if the racing is good, he will drive anything. It started with racing games back in the Commodore 64 days. But fell in love with sim racing when GP Legends was released in ‘98. A few years later he started online racing in the Average Drivers Club. And never really left. Moved to GTR, GTR2, Race07 and GTL with them and is now also racing the rFactor HistorX mod. He is now the European director of the rFactor Classics racing in the ADC. His endurance racing started with the ADC and STES. But the best were with L2R. And Especially the 24 hours at LeMans.
Darren Blythe (UK);
Living the outskirts of London, Darren has loved racing games since the 8bit era and knew sim racing was his thing after playing Papy's Indy500 and Geoff Crammonds GP games. His racing career started proper with Simbin’s GTR and he found a long standing home at the ADC where he has remained ever since. After really cutting his teeth with GTR2 he also enjoys GTL and Race07/Evo form time to time but spends most of his time on rFactor with a little Richard Burns Rally on the side. He enjoys all forms of racing (virtual and real) with a particular love of modern GT cars and endurance events where he has competed in several noteworthy championships across the globe. He can often be found helping out with his friends at SimHQ and is the founder of the Fairplay Racing Club. Whenever he gets some spare time from running his own hardware company Darren loves to relax by racing with his friends in his home made cockpit and doing a little rFactor modding work. When the pressures of life get too much he likes to swap his virtual engine for pedal power and head for the hills on his bike!
Jon Clinton (UK);
A relative latecomer to the world of online sim racing, Jon’s first appearance was a singlehanded entry in a 4 hour race at Mid Ohio with SimHQ late in 2008. In early 2009 Jon joined the ADC, initially just running GTR2 but was quickly lured into the world of classic GTs as well. Jon has spent much of the last 2 years running ILMS LM Prototypes (P1 and P2) with reasonable success but now feels that he’s returned home, behind the wheel of a GT race car. Always a big fan of endurance racing, Jon has had an active role in Team ADC’s participation in numerous adventures over the last few years, including the HSO 1000KM at the Nurburgring, the L2R 12Hrs at Spa and the big one, the L2R 24hrs of Le Mans.
Tracy Nolte (US);
The only US member of the ADC team, Tracy resides in scorching hot Texas on a small farm where he attempts to hone his racecraft with a house full of kids and a yard full of farm animals. His online racing career began, like many, with Grand Prix Legends in 2002. His interest eventually led to becoming actively involved in the Average Drivers Club as he looked for a place where greater respect was given for fellow drivers instead of single lap crash fests. During his time at ADC, Tracy drifted from open wheel racing to tin-top racing through the GTP mod, GTR, GTR2 and some limited dalliances with rFactor. Endurance racing has always been one of his favorite events and he remains excited that ADC has been able to field a team of talent aimed at being as competitive and consistent as possible. While preparing for the Season 4 VLMS endurance series, Tracy has been focusing on this seasons Skip Barber F2000 series where he currently ranks #1 in Division 2 and 23rd overall. Tracy races with a recently build RaceBase cockpit and an ECCI Trackstar Wheel and Pedals.
Team Bio;
The Average Drivers Club was created on the concept that racers needed a controlled, structured environment in which to race, without the "win at all costs" mentality that is so common in pickup races. All ADC members are expected to drive in a gentlemanly, courteous manner. Although the atmosphere in the ADC is similar to a league, we have an open format; we don't award points, nor do we keep Championship standings. You can attend races when and where you choose, and there is no penalty for not attending. The primary emphasis is on having fun.
We have a large, diverse membership spanning 19 countries world-wide. And don't be mislead by the term AVERAGE. Our membership has members from rookies to aliens, so everyone has someone to race with.
With some ups and downs the ADC is still going strong after 10 years.
